The night bite is still good. Was there any current today? The day trips I have made have been slim and not much current at all.

No they are not. It has been that way all fall and now spring. The bite has been slow, we have only brought home fish about 4 times since Oct. and it was no limit maybe 20 fish or so. And like he said we are fishing spots we fished last year and limited out!! I am just wondering if too many were caught out last year and that is what is affecting the catch this year! This year a lot of small ones also.

Right now right before dark to 10p.m or later, the crappie are feeding close to the rip rap.The honey comb area is great ,but a lot of rude folks to put up with.

There's not nearly enough crappie fisherman on the water to fish too many out of G'ville. This is simply weather related. We fished G'ville today and finally found water in the upper 50's, low 60's. We caught 2 fish long lining, and another 6 fishing boat docks. The fish we caught were BIG females. Biggest fish was 16". NONE of the fish really hit the lures. The bite was very slight, and you couldn't catch more than one fish from a spot unless you let it sit then came back in about 10 minutes. Probably marked 10x as many fish as in the past couple weeks, though. We fished 1/16 oz jig heads and w/curly tails. Color didn't seem to make any difference, but we stick to "natural" colors for the most part.

Give it a couple weeks and it will probably be on fire for the next month or so.

On another note, compared to last year, there are 4x as many boats on the water (bass fisherman mostly), especially during the week. Last year, we fished on week days and had any ramp we went to, to ourselves. This year, every day we go it looks like a weekend. Today, we were literally in/around about 25 other boats the whole day, and they don't mind pulling right in front of you and cutting you off, or blasting right through where you're trolling with the big motor wide open. It's disgusting to watch some of these ahole wannabes who are Bass Master champions in their own minds.

We only got 8 today and 3 were on 1/8 jigs and the rest on minnows in about 4 foot of water 2 feet deep. Saw some guys long lining in about 7/8 foot water doing fairly well.
