Thank you for telling me about the metal flashing stuff. For some reason I had in my head it was much thicker than what I found today at Lowes. I bought a couple of the 8"l x 4"x 4" 90 degree piece. This way I'll have extra if I mess one up in the process. This is thin enough to cut with some stought scissors. Thank you again.

I tried my hand at making the lamination plate this morning, 0110Am. Haven't been to the shop yet, and probably won't get out there till a bit after day-light to try it out.
First picture is the 90 degree piece semi flattened, 2nd is the piece cut, 3rd is the plate in place including notch cut for injector, and lastly it showing down the spru hole. The mold isn't clamped in the last pick...Attachment 513080Attachment 513081

Whatever you do do not put any oil on the plate that you inserted into the mold for elimination. Make sure when you shoot the second color that it is pretty hot to make it a he’s real good. And if you let that set after the first shot with the plate in there for quite a while, you wanna make sure that that is up to room temperature or put it in a toaster oven and warm it up before you shoot the second color..
Question that orange sheet of whatever it is with the Black spots on it is that silicone rubber"?

Morning Bob,
Thank you for the heads up on the lamination plate...as for the orange and black mottled in the pictures, it's the cover of my plastic color cook book...I have been updating it from custombaits.com...a lot of stuff over there I want to try...CTOM has some amazing stuff in those natural looking baits he does...

I guess I should’ve read the front of the orange recipe book. Yes ctom is amazing. He was on here for quite a while, but we won’t talk about that and I sure do miss him being on here to chitchat. He goes into long conversations about how he does things which is very good for the beginners. There have been many other ones on here that are gone now I think I’m one of the last of the original bunch of guys that started on here his full time myself I have learned trial and error over the years and I’m always learning something new and I like to mess around a lot with different things in the shop when I’m out there I think I’ve done about everything there is to do with plastic. We still have the original projector that we bought from bear years ago nothing fancy but it’s still going and I have had so many different molds over the years and sold a ton of them, but we are not making anything to buy more so we have to save our pennies. I don’t see anything new in the way of those that I really like him anymore I usually come up with a brainstorm and have somebody make up one for me, but that is costly.

Yes Sir, I completely understand. Me, I'm on disability, and Soc. Sec, and Ms Joyce is on Soc. Sec. so yes, I can understand money being tight for buying new anything. I'm waiting to find out when and how much the Dept. Of the Navy is going to fork over for Killing mom, dad and almost killing me with the Camp Lejeune bad water. They sure draggin their feet, trying to throw road blocks in court...they admit they poisoned the water, they admit to giving said water to the base community to drink, but they don't want to pay for it...So till said time as that happens, it's a day to day grind...

I am sorry you have to go through all that will definitely bring my condolence just to you and your family at your mom and dad. I hope that you will get something out of it. I had a long battle with the government. I had to get Social Security disability and fighting
them for over three years before I got anything out of it. It was really sad the day I went to federal court. I was only in five minutes and he asked me the judge asked me why I didn’t get it for us. The people that refuse me so after three years, he said you’ll be hearing from me in about six weeks later, I got a check in the mail..
