I am guilty of looking down a lot at livescope, but every now and then, I make time, to look up and smell the slab sauce ;-)

My boat is 23 years old thru all the years I have never purchased brand new electronics, trolling motors or graphs has saved me a ton of money over the years, and makes it much more affordable for me. Just like vehicles have never owned a brand new one not even any of my boats as it was all used over the years. I am a cheapskate and I admit it, my three Helix 12,s Gen 3`s, 360, Mega Live and Ulterra all purchased used I have roughly $5,800 in it and thoroughly enjoy using all of it

Sounds like you've been very frugal about the way you've outfitted your boat. I salute you. But just for perspective I have about $600 in my canoe including little tweaks to make it fisherman friendly. I bought the canoe used for $400. It has served me well. My style of fishing is definitely not for everyone. I understand that. But I thoroughly enjoy my time on the water. When I get to where I can't handle the canoe anymore I will be a bank and dock fisherman.
I stared at screen all the time when only 2d/di/si.![]()

CrappiePappy thanked you for this post
Well everyone catching that many will fish the lake out in my opinion. I can already see a big difference compared to five years ago, fewer and smaller fish.

Just because a man catches them doesn't mean he has to keep them.
You're right, he doesn't have to. But the more important question is how many do keep them? If fisheries are being reduced or depleted then too many ARE keeping them.
I would hate to see crappie become mandatory catch and release. I would prefer to be able to choose whether to keep a few or not.
