One could bet they won't find us on taylorsville this weekend! The louisville crowd migrates and it's raunchy. Weekends are bad enough much less a holiday. We had no luck pullin cranks last Thursday afternoon. Pulled from 5-930 and didn't catch a keeper till 830. Four crappie total and only three kept. Minner bite is still decent on timber. Tville water was 87.9 last Thursday!

I have had to work every day since I posted last week and have at least 7 more to go. Like to give em another shot and see if I can find a few more. Maybe Monday morning when I swap from days to nights.

I went yesterday morning, took the cranks off and tried minnows and jigs. Caught 4 good ones and a couple of good blue cats. My son comes in from his internship this Thursday night so I'm gonna stay up when I get off work Friday and hopefully we can find some brushpiles with some crappie in em.

I saw that last night. Maybe it will take the lake lice down the river with it.

Referring to Chaunc, seems there's one in every crowd rub it in while ya have the chance. Been working in the garden a pickin an grinnin. Gonna plant a few more things for fall crop when it dries enough. As close to a crappie as I've been was sharing some barbecue with Badbrad and a fella he referred to as inclement weather man, aka Buffalo13. Enjoyed that evening when we stretched the good ole days into better ole days. Even been looking ahead to trapping season. Gotta find a new critter to chase as they're not even buying coon at the big national Fur Buyers Sale, maybe some rats and yotes. My boat seems to turn into my potting table for spring an summer. Guess I should make that my next project to restore it back into my crappie machine. In a few more months the leaves will change an the breezes will cool. Those foggy mornings of standing on the bottom of ramp waiting on our buddy to get back from the parking lot aren't far off. Guess that's why I have a garden, gotta have some tatters beans an corn to go with them fillets.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!

You guys should know I was just pulling Chaunc's string. He'll be along soon to bust my chops. Wouldn't be surprised if Rich and TO tagged along.
