Very nice chart G - thank you. Scott's chart that he sent with his weights, is that close with the Arkie baits?

Scotts chart is for pushing crankbaits useing weights....his chart will work with any crankbait that you want to push even Rattletraps because you are controlling depth with the weight.. look at his chart closely.....the key is the 45 degree line angle. Pulling crankbaits is a different story....everything comes into play...lure weight, bill size, bill angle, speed, and length of line out from entry point into water, line size and type somewhat etc......all these things control the depth. I tested these for six months pulling on long flats on different lakes, that were different depths, spent a lot of hours and made lots of notes and Mitch and Scott did too. Thus we came up with a depth chart for pulling the Arkie 350 series crankbait.

I just use the Bandit chart, just trying to get close and then its just relative and duplicatable. Funny how a lot of folks try to over think it, have line counter reels less than half full and think they are running 120 feet out when in reality they may not even have 80 out, but it really doesnt matter if you are catching fish at what your reels say is 120 foot back then set em all that way and rock!!!!

Comparing the Arkie 350 with a bandit 300 If you use a 300 depth chart at feet of line out the Arkie will be almost a foot higher than the bandit....which means to run the same depth as a bandit 300 then the Arkie needs 5% more line out. You dont have to figure that close....depth is figured from length of line out from where it enters the water when your pulling.........if your trying to pull12 ft. deep and the chart says 54 ft. of line then you have to let your line out until reel says 54 ft. then you have to take a look at the distance from your rod tip untill where the line hits or enters the water behind the boat.....for example if its 12 ft......then you have to let out 12 more ft. of line. this will just get you close unless your really good at judging distance by eye.
