Comparing the Arkie 350 with a bandit 300 If you use a 300 depth chart at feet of line out the Arkie will be almost a foot higher than the bandit....which means to run the same depth as a bandit 300 then the Arkie needs 5% more line out. You dont have to figure that close....depth is figured from length of line out from where it enters the water when your pulling.........if your trying to pull12 ft. deep and the chart says 54 ft. of line then you have to let your line out until reel says 54 ft. then you have to take a look at the distance from your rod tip untill where the line hits or enters the water behind the boat.....for example if its 12 ft......then you have to let out 12 more ft. of line. this will just get you close unless your really good at judging distance by eye.
