Don't have to close for the spawn. We just need to throw them back. Eat em IF ya need em, and put the Big Girls back to fight another day. We can't blame the COE for taking to many out. We see the solution to this problem in the mirror every morning. To many anglers think because they catch limit after limit, it makes them look like a great fisherman. Lots of guys just want the tailgate shot, and then gripe about to many to clean. JMO

Like I said, "Eat Em IF Ya Need Em", but with the money most guys spent to go fishin, I'm almost sure that most folks really don't NEED em!!!!

Every lake is different I have been reading about the bigger lakes having so much pressure on them. While smaller lakes are mostly pasted up. The bad thing about regulating the sizes, numbers, and everything else is that every lake is different. So what is good for one lake it may be bad for another. Most of the time if a new law or rule is made it is for everyone and that is not always the best thing. I would think that each and every lake should have it's own creel limit, size slot and hook(pole) limits. Then people that fish these lakes would work to keep their lake and fishery in better shape. Remember(where legal) drop a fish habitat or two it will help you catch fish and will also help the fish.
Be safe and good luck fishing

I thought cutting back with the yo-yo fishing with all the new rules was the cure all(lol) . Treat the lake like it's yours and it will all work out .Crappie is now the bass passion of the 70's .

Best way would be to limit residents to limit of 10 with a 13 inch limit 3 days a week. Leave out of staters alone since they don't get to go as much.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
