There's one solution that works most always and that's time. 3 pole, 12", and 20 limit is pretty strong regulation. Given time, if fish aren't being caught the pressure will decrease. IE the rabbits and the coyotes. Additional regulations have no effect on what's not being caught. The spawns will change as they always do.

I talked to the head Honcho of the fisheries department and he said they were really worried about Enid. He suggested that they might have to go to a Season on Crappie. With that said if they can patrol all the land during duck and deer season they can handle 4 lakes.

Concerned with ENID? I think (at least for me) Enid was the go to last year to catch fish. I'd put the worry on Sardis and Butla still.
But they are the professionals and do know more then we do.

I actually had the privelege to sit down with the top state biologist, his #2, and main mdwp fisheries biologist a couple months ago, none of them voiced those concerns, and said they had also heard the " rumors " of a crappie season and that it was just that..rumors.

As to them patroling all the land.. get real they will be the first to tell you they dont have the manpower to enforce what they have now, much less if more is piled on them. I only saw 1 warden 1 time during the entire deer and duck season.
