    Joe, as a matter of fact I did. I have a GW phone number and called him. Took him 4 hours to get someone there. I've called the GW probably 15-20 times over the years. I did get the over fishing of stripped bass under control at thespillway.6 arrests from my phone calls. They check the spillway a lot because they can just ride by and check. Just not the main lake.

    Real good article in latest Game and fish magazine on crappie population study. Followed tagged fish in Enid, talked about what causes up and down years. Also talked about trying to control water for spawns. Really interesting where they were talking about how they moved around at what temperatures.

    There will always be crappie in the lakes to be caught. It's not just one thing that causes low numbers it's many. As crappie fishermen we have become very good at catching crappie with all the modern technology and techniques. I used to only crappie fish about two months a year, now it's more like 8 months.I'm not really for a season but to me that's the biggest problem. These fish get picked on year round, kinda like Slabin in high school.
