Size: 70.5 KBIgnorance of the law is NO excuse. This is what I got for being stupid.. None the same I ended up with 2 bass, and 3 crappie. All caught trolling a pin minnow. Paddled to the 2nd bridge and back then around the islands to end the day. Happy memorial day everyone. God bless the veterans for their service. The freedom we enjoy is from their sacrifice. I salute you.

SOme of these laws seem pretty silly to me for those of us that fish alone on a regular basis. Why do I need a trhrowable flotation device on deck when I am by myself. Am I going to throw it to myself as I am falling out of the boat? Next they will be reguiring people on docks to be wearing a PFD.

I bet the cops used a gas motor too, didn't they? That rally burns my ass to see them violating the laws imposed on the rest of us. They could run an electric motor very easily. /rant over, have a nice day!

They don't even have to go out on the lake...just stand on the dock at the ramp and write the tickets as boaters return.

They were sitting at the dock with the motor running. Had been there for a while as I saw them from the time I rounded the big island in front of the dock. I paddled right up to them with my LIFETIME LICENCE in hand being finished for the day. I should have paddled to the side and made them get out of that 18 foot double wide with an engine big enough to go bay fishing in. Didnt set too well with me either that they can use a gas engine in a TMO lake but, to just set at the ramp with it running is ridiculous. Not only that there were 3 of them. Deficit problem? Not when they write tickets at the pace I saw. 3 writes from the time I rounded the island till the time I loaded my yak and drove off. 1 being myself, one at the dock before me and another kayak out in the water as I was leaving. I could see the clipboard reflection.#rant#rave#wish I could give ticket to them#just have to suck it up#boo hoo.

I guess thats what all that extra license $$ is going to. More officers to write tickets. I heard a story a few years back about the knives issued to every game warden. They were like $400 a piece. I just dont understand how we have NO say in how our license $$ is spent. How is it that Henrico Richmond Hopewell petersburg, Prince george and Chesterfield have 0 puplic access to lakes.

At the very least they could run one of those higher thrust type electric motors. But they won't.
