Thanks everyone. Inlovewithsurfin, I won't be out there this weekend, have to run to Atlanta with the wife. If things go as planned I'll be out most of next week during the week.

Heycharlie, I have the same model. Have you had any issues with the GPS? When I'm on Meade it shows me a couple miles on shore.
I don't use GPS often, but it worked great one time when fog rolled in on Anna.
You are right and the ones for the Norfolk owned lakes are very poor. That's why I've been working on detailed maps of all five lakes. Plan to have them all finished before summer gets here. They are pretty impressive. I've been using Dr. Depth, and I'm glad I got it when I did since the program has been sold and absorbed by Navionics. Now you will have to buy their $400 chip and help them build their data base to get maps of those lakes.

It's GPS fixed location that is inaccurate on my unit. While I don't get contours I would like to mark spots but my unit has me out of water somewhere. When I first got it, it seemed to work fine now after one of the updates it's not even close.
Having a map for these lakes would be awesome. Especially for those like me still trying to learn the lakes so I stop hitting stumps![]()
Here is how my map for Burnt Mills is coming. This is how it looks on the PC Desktop:
Here is how the same data looks like in 3D (I can actually spin it around to any angle to help understand what the bottom actually looks like):
This is what it will look like on the GPS/Sonar on the boat (all the lines will connect when I am finished):
