After looking at two consecutive pics of green carp I was glad to see your buddy save the day with a pic of a nice crappie. Please keep in the back of your mind that the crappie.com bylaws clearly state that any post with pics of non-crappie species (aka inferior species) must be accompanied by at least one pic of a crappie.

haha Tap thank you for keeping me strait!... i didnt post more pictures of all the crappie we caught because we were catching them back to back and battling with the wind/cold that we didnt take too many pictures. the three biggest were 1.49, 1.47, and 1.27 lbs... all caught on 1/8 jig heads with various color jigs some tipped with minnows and some not. and all on 10ft extendable jig poles tight lined set to about 3ft deep in 5-6feet of water.

MAN WHAT A DAY FOR FISHING!!!! i caught my first ever crappie on a big crankbait!!! not only one... but two! all total in the hour and a half we fished today i caught 6 crappie all 11inches or bigger and my buddy caught 3 the same size. i caught two slowly retrieving the crankbait, 3 tight-lining the 10ft extendable poles with 1/16 jig heads with the "joker" jig, and 1 casting/retrieving a 1/32 jig head with black/chartreuse jig... used the new inflatable boat for the first time. it worked out better than i expected! haha... we didnt sink!!!
most caught today were pregnant... fat bellies! it was soo great to see the bite turned on after a long spell of almost no bite at all
