Thread: Old Hickory Lake??

I dont see much talk on here about Old Hickory and was hoping to find out what type of crappie fishery it was. I live in Clarksville and my dad lives in McMinnville so its a good "meet in the middle" location for us. I have never fished it before but am a little familiar due to some duck hunting attempts. Im not asking for anyone's secret spots but would like to know what are the "usual" starting points for some fishing. Thanks.

try the gallatin steam plant end of the lake. With the warm water discharge it heats up the water in the area first and provides good fishing all year around.
