First time I have had a chance to post in the last several days, I have been Stacking and a Whacking for the past several days. Douglas is Hot, Hot, Hot right now and looks like it is going to be the rest of spring. Right now I would rate it the best lake in the south. Yesterday (Thur) the wind blowed so hard at times I thought a Hurrican was coming thru and I was in Gail Force Winds, it went from White Caps to rolling, but everyone I knew that was fishing in the same area that I was limited out. Talked to Squirrel Dog he was rocking and rolling with the wind. Pic of just fish is Tue, Pic of me setting on a bucket is wed, and the Pic of me standing is thur. Water temp avg from 46 to 49 depending on where you are at. Fish are being caught from 6ft to 10ft, fishing anyway that float's your boat, I saw them being caught tight linning, floater fishing and spidder rigging.![]()

Great report and pics. I hope it heats up on this side of the state soon.
Good report Sandy. Tell that Squirrel Dog I was asking about him. I stop by and see him at the job but He's hardly ever there. Looking forward to the next weeks myself.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Great report and some nice looking limits there. I was just curious where at is one of the better areas to whack them for a bank bound angler.
Douglas is different then the rest of the lake's that TVA owns. Most lakes TVA own's to the High Water Mark, but Douglas they only have water easement rights {they do own a few spots} if you are floating you can go anywhere but if you step out of your boat 90% of the time you are own private property and can be arrested for trespassing. But there are some excellent places to fish from the bank--Nina Creek--Four wheel dr you can drive down there or you can walk, excellent winter fishing. Swan's Bridge, fish the rock around the bridge or walk back in the hollow behind the dock--excellent winter fishing. Indian creek - fish the TVA rock on either side of the bridge, or around the right side going east from the bridge (TVA owns about a 100 acres there) excellent winter and Super spring fishing.
Thx for the px SR! Always good to hear your reports to light a fire for a trip on the water.
