Before I start this thread I'll warn ya....NO PICTURES! Reason being I didnt take the camera thinking I wasnt gonna catch anything. I have all but quit fishing thios summer because the last couple trips out produced a big fat "0". Since the water had heated up the fish just didnt want to chase a jig anymore and I'm too durn stubborn to buy minners.

Anyway, I was off today and the wife had plans with her mother so at 5AM I got up, dressed, slipped out the door and hitched the boat. After running into town for some gas I made my way to the lake and was ready to fish at 6:30AM. Low and behold...going back to a spot I hadnt seen nor fished since spring I FOUND 'EM!! Plenty of fish were biting and the colors really didnt seem to matter. I had doubles and triples going. Lots of tangles too. It was almost as good as the spawn except the fish were mostly small.

Well, anybody that knows me knows I dont want a lot of fish to clean anyway and I did manage a mess to bring home and enough to invite the Mother-in-law for her Birthday supper fish fry one night soon.

With cold Gatorades, a straw hat and sunglasses, a 5 mph breeze, and a mostly cloudy day the morning was great for fishing. That being said...once the sun burned thru the clouds and the temp reached into the 80's I started feeling the heat and had NO intentions of being in a hot boat sweating to catch a fish so I called it a day at 10:30AM. Total tally on the clicker was 115 crappies for the 4 hours fished. So yes...you could say I had a busy morning. Now all I can hope for is the water doesnt heat back up and the fish disappear again while I start back my 5 days of work beginning in the morning. Unless something unforeseen happens you can count on me being back on the water next Wednesday morning and this time I WILL carry along my camera. Well....that's about it and again...sorry for no pictures.
