    Default Wateree

Well I am finally back on it after settling back in from the deployment. Made it out to wateree last week and tried Taylor's and only snagged one crappie out in front of the state park. Gonna head out tomorrow again and try a different creek. Any leads would be appreciated. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have some pictures for you guys. Good to be back and still see some of the regulars still around.

Haven't been there In a while myself but if I were to go tomorrow June creek would get most of my attention. Plenty of brush and stumps in there. I would also pay close attention to the mouth of wateree creek. That has always been the summer hole. As said by the rest your service is appreciated

Glad you are home safely Fodsquad and add my thanks for your service. I saw this on the SC Sportsman website. Another option to try at Wateree.

Be careful though, it is addictive.

I have to second Searays motion on the perch get out early ==5am 5:30 around points and shallow coves ==especially where someone has had a night light on all night == the shad will be around close and the perch will be at breakfast table. fish shallow early and move out with them. find the right spot and you will have all you want to clean before it gets hot. good luck tomorrow hope you fill your cooler with whatever you fish for and add my thanks for your service along with the others.

Welcome home. The perch bite does sound like it could be a fun day of feeling the pulls on your line. Hope you can find the crappie or perch biting.
