I knew the title would get your attention. With that being said, I have a feeling (call it a sixth sense) that fish will be in shallow water very soon. I am actually losing sleep thinking about it. The dogwoods are open and are a few days away from turning from green to white. I know the cold winter has thrown everyone off, but honestly I am to the point where I have to get my fix for a thump on my rod.

If you guys could PLEASE give some details about Wylie. Of course not your favorite fishing hole, unless you want, but more or less WATER TEMPS, fish patterns and DEPTHS, and of course any other insightful info. I know those crappie will be in shallower water around docks and brush soon and I am more than ready to catch my limit.

I have high hopes for this year, with my main goal being to catch more crappie than I did last year. I would also like to join the three lb club, and have invested in a really nice scale to show off my catches.

Also, if you see a tall, ugly guy with glasses jigging from the dock you are putting your boat in, strike up a conversation and invite him out to fish with you!
