Sad to say....but after 7 years I had to put down my friend Lucy due to cancer. Here's her picture...
Sad, but I'm ready to get back up on the horse again. Here's what I'm asking from you guys...
I've been researching Craigslist for a few weeks now looking for either a fawn colored (brown) boxer or a german shepherd puppy. Oh yea, I can find 'em but I cant afford the ones on there. If any of you guys hear of, or know of, anyone with purebred pups for sale (not interested in AKC papers) please let me know. I'm trying to stay under $200 on another dog. I'm looking for either (with a preference on the shepherd) but I want a full blooded pup and it must be a small puppy preferrable no more than 10 weeks old (or so). If I have to go on a road trip to pick up a pup I will. Thanks ahead of time guys.![]()

Sorry for your loss, it's a tuff time for sure. Have you looked for any rescue org's for the boxers or sheps. I prefer boxers as I'm on my 2nd one, but you know what you're wanting. GL in your search.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
Sorry for your loss Gabowman. I can ask around at work and if i hear of any i will let you know.
I've been checking EVERYHTING on the 'net and those dogs are priced out of my price range. I'm hoping somebody knows of some non-registered purebreds for salein the $100-$200 range. Everything on the 'net is $450 plus for shepherd pups.
Thanks. I'm hoping somebody comes thru for me. I want a dog, but not just any dog. I'm pretty much stuck on either the boxer or the shepherd.
Hate to hear the news Butch, will keep an eye out for you.

Sorry for you loss. I have had to send several to the rainbow bridge and know how hard it is. Having been active in purebred dogs for over 30 years, you get what you pay for. I know this is a hard pill to swallow but in my experience, by the time I have a puppy 8 weeks old, I have a considerable investment in that puppy.
Food, and food and cleaning supplies, Vet Check, eye check, wormers, first shots and veterinarian provided vaccination records to support it. Yes, my dogs are ACK registered and titled usually at both ends before breeding. There is a reason/logic behind it and although the titles are meaningless to many, the health, temperment and working ability of both Sire and Dam are indicators of the puppies potential.
Although you really want a puppy, many great dogs are available thru rescue and for those that are patient, many young dogs find their way to rescue as well. I foster rescue dogs and to date the youngest dog turned over to us was 9 weeks old and we occasionally get a bitch with a litter. My breed is Labradors but all rescue groups encounter the same scenario's. Good luck in your search, but reconsider your limits. And research both the breed and breeder as well. There is no breed that I know that does not carry a whole list of genetic related health issues that can be avoided thru properly researched and planned breeding.
Sorry for your loss mine passed back in Sep. Have you tried the jockey lot they usually have some reasonably priced bOxers

Sorry to hear this Butch, I still miss my Black Lab that died in 2008. Hope your search bears fruit. I will keep my eyes open for one.
