Our youngest daughter was the primary driver.
Anyway, one day i was driving it and got broadsided at an intersection totaling the vehicle.
I bought it back from the insurance co. and replaced the doors and straightend the rest up as best we could.
Plan was to make a dedicated hunting rig out of it and leave it at our N C Pa. hunting camp.
I bought a case of spray can paint in 3 different camo colors and gave each of my then very young grandsons a different color.
They fought like dogs while they were doing it, and we had a ball watching.
I had to touch up some spots but all in all it turned out pretty well.
I assume everyone was safe after the accident, I guess these jeeps are pretty tough, huh?

Lots of people in Florida drive them on the beach and even in the water along the beach, so be aware of that.
As for attaching the new floor panels, try 5200, works great.
But you need to allow time for it to cure.

Yes, in that particular case there were no injuries.
However, i had a later very serious accident in a CJ 7 while hunting, where one of my oldest and best friends was killed.
    Something you never get over.
I can tell you that all those who think they have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, actually dont.
Unless it is equipped with locking differentials.

So sorry to hear about your friend.

And yeah, open differential in back and open differential in front. This Comanche is only 2wd anyway. Even though I’m into jeeps now, I’m not really a 4wd kinda guy. Only one of my three jeeps is 4wd and I have yet to install the front drive shaft. I eventually will though. At least one of mine gotta have it, right!

Even full time All wheel drive, only powers 2 wheels at a time. Usually opposite corners one front, one back at a time till all wheels are locked in.

I like the black mirrors. They match the other black pieces. Handle, fender, etc…
