Why not keep the touch unit, sell the 998 then buy a 9 inch touch move the 7 to the bow.

Vice n...i like my 597.there's really not that much to it.all i can say for people that's in the market for new units is not to go by my picture's alone you should do lot of research..i have real good luck with my two 998s and now my 360 to but there's a lot of negative comments out there i can't explain it but all my stuff seems to work for me.![]()
The only problem I would see with much more defined pictures is this, I they were like picture perfect then I really would be whizzed when I could see them look at me and STILL couldn't catchem LOL
I got my 898's before they offered the interpreted DI. In other words, I Didn't buy them for DI. Then, they offered the update with DI and I was like Brett and at first didn't get great images. I figured it was due to not being a dedicated crystal. Some local buddies and Kosmo's posts showed that you could dial them in. I went back to playing with it and started getting good images.
I believe having confidence in your stuff is a necessity. The other is not to be afraid to "mash" them buttons.
But I am an engineer and realist. A dedicated crystal for DI is going to get you the best results for that application.

Kosmo, I've watched some of your threads from the very beginning when you first got DI. Your images steadily improved from phone camera shots to snap shots, plus the way you've dialed in your unit. I've read about different settings, I've watched all of the Doug Vahrenberg videos, Jason Halfin videos and tutorials, etc. I just can't seem to get much good images, and certainly no fish. Most of the trees and brush I see are just stacks of pixels, no matter my speed or chart speed, contrast, sens, etc. Keep posting those good images tho....at least I can dream of getting that some day!!!
