Well this is my homemade minnow bucket. I can put 1lb in there and they will last all day in the boat with no problem. I usually bring some home after fishing and leave them in the bucket for a few days running on the aerator.Name: 564466_2923005355001_759311174_n.jpg

I've got two smaller ones one for the front and back of the boat. They work great and a lots cheaper than the store bought ones. Luckily mine doesn't have the #8 on them but I am thinking about putting some Tony Stewart stickers on them haha!

I have one of those but the diaphram pump in the lid doesn't hold up. It lasted maybe one year and after that i have been using external air pumps. I was pretty disappointed for the money spent.

I've had mine about 5 years, the pump did go out this year I replaced the pump for $15 and she's working again.

Brian, I have the 19qt Engel and love it. Minnows stay lively, the water stays cold and at the end of the day you can plug the aerator into a cigarette lighter adapter and save the batteries. Also, they don't leak water when you tip it over!

If you get the flotation foam for boat it does not absorb water like regular styrofoam. Also when using silcone make sure that you order the silcone for aquariums. It does not have the chemicals that would kill your minnows.
