Put your minnows, leaches, etc. Put a cooler pack or some ice to keep em' cool.
Thanks for this great idea. I bought the stuff to make me a copy of this bucket. I like that it dont take up too much space in the boat.

Look at Grizzly Jig. They sell a kit where you can remove the drain and install it to hook up your air hose and will work with any kind of cooler. keeps air hose out of the way.

I drilled a hole in the side just below the top. I got the chance to use it wednesday and it worked great. When I got home I hooked the air hose to 120v pump and set it in my barn fridge, changed the water yesterday and had not lost a single minnow.

I bought a minnow bucket top and aereator from Gander Mountain a few years ago which I needed to supply my own 5 gallon bucket....after seeing what you did in this picture, I'm going to use the aereator (scrap the bucket) and I have an old cooler just like yours which I''ll make the modifications to, making it a whole lot better than the 5 gallon bucket rig I have been using.

    Great idea, thanks for sharing!

Got mine made up today. I used a picture frame hook to fasten aerator to front of a extra cooler I had, that way I can remove it easily when I need to.

    Default best minnow buckett

Do not think this is the best but I sure like em. Plasti Kool, #C-10, 10 QT-Cap., Made in USA by Plastilite Corporation, Omaha, NB. $12.89 before tax.
I like the metal/wire cage around it and wire handle, styrefoam is a little thicker than some of the others. How many times have you grabbed one of the cheaper ones by the rim and had it bust out on ya? I apologize for picture quality.Name: 0327122120a.JPG

The best bucket is a empty one and a cooler fill of slabs.
