Or fish early and get off when the wind picks up around 10 AM. The closer you are to Jim town with a NW wind the higher the waves will be. You have the whole length of the lake for the waves to build. About 10 years ago I saw one of the larger pontoons get caught side ways in waves that were pushing 3 feet and it tipped over. The wind was in the 20-30 mph range out of the NW and got under the decking of the toon and flipped it really fast. Use common sense and have a good time fishing.
Fished the Jamestown area for a few hours today. The wind was terrible. Caught some crappies but a lot were small. Kept 7 that were over 10. One 13 in the bunch. Nothing shallow. Almost all I cleaned still had some eggs but I could smell them so they were spawned already. Headed to the north end stump field next time out.
