    Default New Mod?

Ya'll keep an eye on this guy! Watch him close, he might just turn into one of the best Mods on the site. I have a slight feeling this section just improved. Now, let's get some good arguments going to break him in.

Ounce for ounce, what's the best fighting fish you have caught? White Bass give a good fight, but my vote would be for the blue gill. Those one pounders can sure give a tussel.

My vote would be redear without a dought. Have not fished up in northern states just here in the south.

I would have to say Rock Bass. No matter the size, they go for the bottom and keep pulling - even while taking the hook out.

    Question Ounce for ounce

I'd have to say the Yellow Bass :p

And congrats to DB4D, on his appointment as Mod of this forum.

Thanks. As a moderator, I hope members will say of me, "He was a cruel man -- but fair." :D

As far as "hardest fighting fish" go, I'd probably have to go with carp. Bluegills and shellcrackers are awesome for their size, though.

Pound for pound I think I would have to go with the shellcracker (redear). I understand the smallmouth bass will really jig your pole as well.

Jerry McKinnis (host of "The Fishin' Hole") said he had a hard time picking between smallmouth, steelhead and snook. In a more recent interview, he had decided on the steelhead.

I have caught snook (great fighters) but not the other two. Oh, well -- I'm still young!

You gotta admire any member of the bream family -- gills, shellcrackers, etc. They're all tough, aggressive little guys that never give up.
