I'd rate a catfish pretty high on the list.

I have no idea. If only we could get someone to ask this question on the main board (preferably a newbie with less than five posts) ...

As my screen name indicates, I vote for crackers.
    Smallmouth, first runner up.
Although not a game fish, bowfin put up an amazing fight, especially when they see the boat/net.

very hard question to answer but really i think pound for pound would be the channel catfish big or small they seem to never stop pulling and rolling even a few minutes on the bank wont stop them they just keep thrashing about

second would hands down be gills because if someone was to latch on to a 10 pounder i couldn't even imagine the fight it would be like a small army tank full steam ahead lol

3rd ill make it short and sweet GAR
is that a bite...YEAH FISH DONT HAVE HANDS

warmouth.. for there size they are enormously strong. if they got to 5 lbs they would be like catching a grouper. biggest i caught went about a 1 lb and i swore i had a 5 lb bass on

As far as "hardest fighting fish" go, I'd probably have to go with carp. Bluegills and shellcrackers are awesome for their size, though.

Heck, i thought this before you were a mod. congrats!

I would have to say out of all the fish I have caught I would put the white sturgeon first. When you get a big one on the line the fight can last a while. They are really fun on light tackle.
