Thread: Slip bobber rod

With all the rods I have, some pretty pricey ones too, I still have a couple of the Shakespeare micro rods. They do a great job and they aren’t fragile, at least mine haven’t been. I abuse em and they hold up. My 6’6” is a dedicated slip float rod and the 5’6” is a mono setup for pitching into nasty stuff. There’s lots to choose from in that price point. The BPS rods have a strong following.

With the Daiwa Trout X and the Shakespeare, I have never had a bobber stop issue at all. That is why these are my go to slip bobber rods. I have never used the Crappie Max but I know they are very popular and crappie fishing lives and dies by slip bobbers lol.
