Thanks to all for the comments. The bait shop has been closed for years....not sure how many but long time back. The lake used to be really bad with moss. A number of years back they put some white amur in the lake and it seems to have helped. The last time I used the ramp was back in 2016 I think it was. I am going back this week and try to figure out how to load my boat without getting in water waist deep. My trailer is a little different and cannot use the trolling motor to get it on. But the courtesy dock is right beside the ramp so maybe I can walk the dock ramp and pull boat onto trailer. It is obvious to me I have been passing up some good bluegill water that is relatively close. Get the boat in and maybe I can find some crappie. Best of my memory when I fished it in a kayak there were a lot of black perch at the head of the lake where that creek runs in.
