I think I have a Fenwick identical to yours and for where I fish it’s a good rod. Open water is tough to find, lots of downed trees and branches. I know nothing about the others. I use 2lb line, some of it Nanofil, and it casts very well with a 1/48 jig. Daughter and I had a good time this morning with it.

Nice presentation especially with photos ! Very impressed. Now I want to see pics of fish you'll catch with them and the lures used.

The Fenwick eagle is an awesome rod! It was my high end rod in fact for several years (Tict ice cube on the way), but where I fish most are 4-7" no trees, branches, only summer vegetations, so the Eagle almost feel like overkill at times even for an UL. With this new rod from Aliexpress bending like it does...i'm hoping its a game changing experience for me especially when I hook into a 14 inch carp..lol. BTW the Kuying Teton and Fenwick have very similar action and power and should be problem free taking larger fish.

Yes can't wait! We are experiencing extreme heat wave the next couple of days but hopefully i can escape the house for an hour or so in the early morning to test the rod out. My lures of choice are very limited fishing in ponds environment where the green sunfish and bluegill seen their fare share of earth worm and swimbait from other anglers targeting LM bass and catfish. So at time when they bedding season I like trout magnet for the larger greenies and BG. Other time like now it's drop shotting, carolina rig, and (my personal favorite) float N fly tip with wax worm or piece of shrimp...anything brighter in texture. Look forward for those nice fights..lol.

Heat wave records have been broken out west with no relief in sight. Our highs have been near 88 with heat index near 95, so it's off the water by 1 pm. Still thought the bite has been good with anywhere from 40 fish solo to 89 fish between the two of us per outing.

Trout Magnet is a good lure but IMO the Crappie Magnet size has its advantages.

It's been catching bass and crappie.

The water you fish in must be in the 80's surface temperature. Bet earlier-the-better just like in NY. 7am-2pm gets it done except recently with clouds and breeze making air temperatures comfortable most of the day as cold fronts are moving in.

Nice fish, Spoon. We just broke a heat wave here, but quite a bit of rain. Stream should be about right tomorrow morning! Glad to see you can get out to chase ‘Em!

Oh no I wouldn’t dream of it or meant it.. lol. I couldn’t describe or argue rod building and it’s make up properties if my life was to depend on it without being able to express its action in photos in this demo. Just another angler looking for another fun panfish rod. Also thank you for making app easier to load photo Mr Moderator!
