Spent a little over four hours today tossing jigs at a local water reservoir.
The weather is unusually warm lately and the fish have moved shallow . It was cloudy most of the day with temps in the low 70's . Water temps hit 60 by the afternoon .
Best performer of the the day was the 1/64 Trout Magnet. Bison , chartreuse with black back , and black front, rear chartreuse. They out fished my tied jigs today .
I found a new use for a Rod I'd not been happy with before . A 5' Daiwa Presso . Matched up with a Shimano Sahara 500 spooled with 2# PLine I was able to cast the little 1/64 jigs up to 60-70' .
I caught 33 bream , 17 various sized small LM bass , 13 Crappie , biggest just over a pound , and 4 gold shiners . A fun day of ultralight fishing . Gillchaser
