Look for them in the deeper water. The lake I fish in Colorado all the dinks will stack up on flats (10-20fow) and the bigger jumbos will be in the 30-60 FOW. They seem to hold on steep drops too.
If your using electronics to locate them look for a Christmas tree looking mass in deep water and more then likely those are bigger perch. The little dinks just look like a change in depth.
After you catch one, pop it's eye out and tip your jig with it! You'll never use anything else again

Thanks for the info. I checked quite a bit of the 50to 60 ft ter. Found more dinks. I was looking or the wrong thing on my ff though. I found the flat bottom hugging schools. Thanks for the heads up on the shape of the schools. I remember running cross some of those but never knew they were perch. Ill check them out and let you know what I find
