berkley maggots white...work better than crickets and worms?
i have been having a hard time catching any fish besides catfishs at a pond near me i have tried worms/crickets/nightcrwlers/catwaba..and never got anything at this pond they worked great in the neuse river and capefear river though.
my target fish was bream and i was using this setup.
ngage-r2f-120/sp rod/reel combo bought at walmart
a new bait i never heard called berkley Gulp! maggot/asticots white
i caught 5 fish in less than 15mins..using this bait in a jar..i was stunned to say the least..is this normal for this maggot bait or was today just a lucky day?
will this bait work like this everytime i go fishing or was this a fluke?
the time was around 7:30pm if it matters.
what would be a good time to catch em? i dont plan on keeping any of them though i always C&R all the fish i catch regardless of what it is..
sorry for going on and on but i had a good time fishing today even if it was brief stupid mosquito's...
