    Default New Lures


    Here are some new baits i bought i need feedback if you know anything about them

    1/16 oz. Blakemore roadrunner colorado blade chrt
    1/16 oz. Roadrunner Heads
    2 inch teenie tail mister twister in yellow
    1.5 inch stubby tail minnow panfish assassain in baby trout

    Have any of you tried these for bream

    I have had great success with the roadrunners in black and chartruese

    Yep.....I have caught bream on all of those. My weapon of choice however is a pearl white jig head in 1/100 Oz. I use just the jig head tipped with one or two meal worms. I fish this under a small bobber.
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    Look around over in the jig tying forum....a lot of the guys there sell them I also use a lot of 1/80 jigheads. You should be able to get some from skiptomylu send him a PM and see.

    when using the 1/100 oz do you get alot of gut hooks it would seem that big bream would just swallow them

    I thought that would happen myself, but actually when using the small jig head with the live mealworms....almost everytime the bream are hooked in the corner of thier mouth. It sure makes it easier on the hook removal....I have never had one swallow it deep like they do when fishing with long shank number 6 hooks and crickets.

    That's my experience as well.

    BTW, Bass Pro also sells the tiny jig heads. They're in the fly shop.

    I've caught gills on a variety of lures and flies, but live bait is FAR superior IMO.
