Posting an update on the get-together, Myself & Fish.On have both talked with Jason at the marina, he's excited to be able to host this event! Also I contacted Ed [Slab] the site owner; he's sending products from sponsors down to us as well, thanks Slab. He also asked for pics of the event be forwarded to him afterward. It's coming together folks, hopefully the first of many to follow!

Can someone locally, Jason, suggest places to stay overnight?
Does the marina have such accomodations or local nice hotels?

    isnms,

There are two hotels that are equally apart from me. 'The Lake Eufaula Inn' is located at I-40 & HWY 150. Their number is 918-473-2376. There is also is a 'Stay Inn' off of HWY 69 & HWY 150/Texanna Road. Their number is 918-689-3999. HWY 150 is just a loop for I -40 and HWY 69. Both motels have the same rates. Weekday rates are $54.95 and weekend rates are $59.95, so it won't be hard to take your pick.

Both aren't bad, I personally prefer the Lake Eufaula Inn better because it's quieter and less traffic to deal with.

Folks I have caught so many fish at Jason's dock that we call it a crappie fish factory. If the bite is on and it sounds like it is, you will see 100's of crappie come out of the place day by day. Good sizes too. I would say you really couldn't go wrong fishing the dock. I probobly will but I might fish the lake if the weather is good. That's just the right time of year and usually the right temp for me to go crappie crazy.

I agree that some congratulations are in order. You guys are doing a GREAT job with all of this and it is much appreciated. I'm looking VERY forward to this. If anyone has any dock space or some good bank fishing available, please let me know. Just shoot me a PM or something. I'm boatless along with the 3-4 people I'll be bringing and would like to have at least some space lined up where we'll be able to fish. Thanks again everyone.

Is 9:00AM still the approximate start time?

I'll need to plan accordingly, it's going to take us about 2 hours to get there.

LipRipper could you update first post with pertinent information like time and other info

9:00 AM is a tentative time for everyone, dont worry about keeping it, as we dont have a schedule of events anyways, looks more like seat-of-pants lol.:D

Suggestion, those who plan to fish, meet at daylight, go fish, come back in for whatever, go fish some more. Have dinner/seminar after dark. Then me and Jake, gonna put in some night time fishing. I would much rather rest up, then go fish around 3 in the morning till when ever. If someones gonna do breakfast, then we can show up for that. I do know that I plan on spending a lot of time on the water. If Jake is not game, then he can hang wif some of ya'll. Homey ain't playin.

I am interested in finding out about any creeks that feed the area of the lake we are going to be meeting at. I want to check it out in the daytime, before I make the night time venture. I plan to load the boat on the night trip with some 2-3lb Crappie. I dunno what everyone else is going to do. This is going to be a vacation for me.

    Jake, you game or what????
