I took the day off fishing to get a 300 hour maintenance done on my boat. I bought the boat last April and didn’t do the maintenance because I became sidetracked over the broken trailer. I remembered a few days ago and dropped the boat off to my mechanic this morning. Went on a test drive after my mechanic talked me into a new prop also and found that I now have an additional 7 mph. Always need to get that 300 hour maintenance done when purchasing a used boat. Among other issues we noticed that the boat had its original lower unit oil. That would make the oil 19 years old and it looked it.

It took many years but I finely found a good boat mechanic a few years ago.

Assuming it’s not raining tomorrow I’m going fishing.
