Camping Question
This question ain't Fishin related but I'm hoping someone knows the law on this.
At Lake Thunderbird does private property extend all the way down to the waters edge or is there like some kind of easement or something that the public has access to?
I'm asking because last Saturday night I was out late fishing and i saw some boaters pull up at some random spot on the bank out in the middle of nowhere, no houses or anything around. the beached their boat and setup camp for the night. No one bothered them at all.
My son was with me and he saw this and was like "DAD, I don't have to sleep in the boat when I get tired of fishing anymore I can camp on shore, while you continue fishing". I told him I didn't think that was the case but I would try to find out.
So does anyone know if what I saw them other boaters doin is legal or not. I don't want my son to get a trespassing ticket or make some land owner angry.
