Just a thought that I haven't noticed being mentioned, this is only my opinion, is the weather people/educated guessers are telling us that after this weekend this will be the most rain EVER in the month of may since records have been kept. So, again in my opinion, how could the COE people done anything different to prepare for this deluge we are receiving. I believe we all remember only a few months ago in a lot of these lakes, they were way low and with the weather pattern we have been in the last few years how could anyone made a decision to lower them even more to prepare for this? my .02

I'll say one thing. Some learn the hard way and some never learn. Let's put a target on our back by bad mouthing the ones that take care of our fisheries and carry ticket books. Some must enjoy burning bridges and looking over their shoulders.SMH.

Game wardens and our fish and game biologists are our friends, NOT our enemies. They tell us what NEEDS to be done to manage the resources properly. My.02

You know I said I was done and wouldn't respond again to this thread. Well when my character, integrity, and honesty was attacked I decided to respond. I never expected an opinion to be so harshly picked apart. I respect all your opinions and comments. There was also a small group that by attacking me had a different agenda all together. Again I will take the high road as I did a few months ago. As far as our wildlife officers and game biologist I hold nothing but the highest respect for all these men and women and the tough job they do. Kudos my hats off to you all. For those that thought it was cool and got a high from bashing my character, again I say to you I apologize for any misunderstanding and wish you a great holiday and safe travels

You know the standard answer on that one Redge, the lakes are for flood control only.

I have hesitated to comment on this thread because I know so little about the COE and the often mentioned politics behind when, where and how our lake waters are released that I can't pretend that I have any right to an informed and therefore worthwhile opinion. However, I do know quite a bit about Mark McGuire and I absolutely trust him and his integrity- he is a good man whose help and knowledge have been generously distributed among our members and others. I don't for one minute believe that his opinions on this thread have a personal or professional agenda. Those who believe otherwise, IMHO, don't know Ranger very well and he is well worth knowing. I am equally confident that the COE, as we approach a crisis like this one, attempts to respond in a manner that is 100 % about protecting lives and property. Not trying to straddle the fence here brothers- just felt that MY integrity is in question if I didn't jump in before this thread is deleted.

Texhoma should go over the 25th.

    Hugo maybe Sunday.

Mcgee and Sardis is lost they are going over

Broken Bow has stopped but its raining right now. .

The corp could and should have used spillway gates while wotk was going on.

    Hell with the trout stream...

Been trying to put a party together to float river from Idabel to Millwood . Drink copious amount of beer and wine and have a ball.

Can't get anyone brave enough to go

Too much drama. I think we all are missing our crappie fishing due to lake conditions. If you need me I'll be in the jig forum. Much calmer waters over there.
