I got up this morning and didn't have to work. Dropped kids off at school and went to Hudson. Saw Rick catch 3 keepers, I caught one just under 12" and three dinks. When I showed up, that made 8 fishing the dock. Bites were few and far between for everyone. I fished about 7 hours. My feet got chilly, but the wood stove kept me from having to wear gloves. Had a nice breakfast there, 3 eggs, ham, hasbrowns, toast for $6.50. Nice BS session with others present and a few fish to boot.

You probably called right before I got there. I'm most likely working tomorrow and no fishing in the plans.

Got a free pass last night as we were at the mother in laws. Had a choice to go to either Ft Cobb or Blackwell. Chose the later. nmolina and his crew was there. Nice guys and enjoyed hangin out with them. But by golly it was friggin COLD! Coldest I've been in a long time. When that fish house is on, it's on BIG TIME! But last night was not that time. We all (there were four of us) caughts lots of dinks and the majority of keepers were 8s and 9s if you stretched em a tad. I've been there during some very good action and now I've been there during the slack periods. It's all good though. Nmolina is a good guy as his boys are. BUT! It needs to warm up! I'm still frosty!

I just now returned from the heated dock at Sahoma. I was frozen over INSIDE the dock, only about 3/4 inch thick, according to the guy there breaking it up! Come on warmer weather.

Anyone know if the new dock in the manford ramp area is open yet? Was fishing that area a couple weeks ago and it looked like the dock was complete and had brush hanging in the water and even heard some kids playing inside.

Only had one job today up in the Grove area. Stopped off at Indian Hills and watched Betty and Penny put on a clinic. I never got a bump. They had several dinks and three keepers between them. Those Grand Lake Crappie don't like the Oologah baits.

Reaper I have seen those 2 do that many times. Have watched people fish a spot for hours and leave and one of the ladies sit down and just catch one after another. Unbelievable. Visited with Penny for several hours last time I went. Think she said she's 74. Both those ladies catch the heck out of the crappie. Gonna try and go this weekend just not sure where.

OK guys I need your help. I am looking for a place to take my father-in-law. He loves to fish but due to his age and health I will have to take him some place that is really warm inside. I am also looking for a place where they are catching some fish. Do you guys know of a dock I can take him to where I can have the best of both worlds? Does such a place exist? I'm not worried about slaying them but would like for him to have a good time.
