Thread: Heated fishing docks

Had fun Reaper but like woodworker said non productive. Prolly head down to Eufaula Marina Wed after work for a few hours. Will report back...

crappiepappa, you ask about Sahoma. I went out friday and saturday and did real well fishing off the back dock. The dock is sitting on the ground at a pretty steep angle so Tom has the walkway chained off but it's just to keep kids off the dock you can unhook the chain to get past. I was pitching out towards the tree but was catching most of them about halfway between the the tree and the dock where the steep rise is colors were orange/chart.

Well, Woodworker and I decided to beat the cold front and went to Eufaula Marina last night (tues). Dead calm water, just a whisper of air moving around. Just a really nice evening. Keep in mind that the inside of the dock closes around 4:30-5:00 but the outside is open 24-7 and Bill and Jason are old school. They still believe in the honor system! Anyhow, after I was able to get all my lines untangled from Merles, we headed down the ramp. Not a soul there (first clue maybe?). I betcha I threw every color I had and I know Merle did as well and all we had to show for it were 3 dinks. As we were leaving, Jason pulls up and repeated the story of my life. "Oh man you should have been here earlier, they were tearin em; up!)...It was still a nice evening and the company was good. Planning on hittin it again real soon.

Headed to Eufaula Marina this AM. Will report this afternoon

Slow bite today. Fished from 8:30-1:00 and caught 11. All keepers but 2. They hit on hot pink, blue thunder and Chartrouse/ purple.

9 out of 11 isn't bad. Glad you got some action. Way to go.
