Anybody heard anything about ft Gibson lately? Specifically the dock at Sequoyah bay? I saw the latest report from the dept of wildlife says the crappie fishing is good with 1/64th oz jigs worked real slow. Is seqouyah bay the only heated dock on ft Gibson?
Sequoyah Bay is the only fishing dock on Ft Gibson. You need to call in advance as I'm not sure it is open in winter. 918-687-4073 try calling about 8AM.
I made the drive several weeks ago to Sequoyah Bay since I never got answer on phone. Ended up stopping by info station and chatting with attendant who told me it doesn't open until spring! I fished Claremore dock yesterday from 7am to @ 12 had 2 keepers but very slow not like usual. Usually catch a bunch of smalls there and keepers. Lake still froze.
Dang thanks for the heads up guys
Went over to Hudson last Saturday bite was very slow. Drove over to Sahoma sunday just to check it out. Only stayed 30 min but caught 5 on 1/64 head w/electric chicken on it. Lake is 11 ft. below normal. Was told by attendant they drained it down to fix dam but decided too expensive. Very small dock. Fished inside lots of brush but not very deep.
