I fished the poteau arm yesterday for 5 hours, my first time on wister. Lots of people fishing where I was for a friday, I counted 8 boats in that channel. I caught about 25, kept ten biggest from 10-16 inches. Five were really nice fat healthy fish. All the females were spawned out and the males losing their color already. Great looking water and lots of cover, I wish it were closer so I could learn the lake. The fish I caught were in and above cover in 4-10 fow. I used various BG slab slayers, bold colors worked best.

Size: 56.3 KB Fished Wister Tuesday, kept 25 with several nice ones. Water was 50 and the fish were active, had some hard thumps. Fish were on the shad, had some fish spitting them out as I landed them. I was spider rigging minnows on 10-20 foot break lines. The fish were at all depths, I used the finder to target what appeared to be the larger fish that were a little bit away from the main schools of smaller crappie. I think it paid off, I sacrificed some numbers but I probably caught more big fish.

Your not kidding Brian, those bigger ones were smacking it. Hey check this out, I took some of those crappie last night, dipped in them egg and rolled them in a 50/50 mix of crushed Jalapeno Cheetos and Parmesan Cheese and baked them in the oven on 500 for 20 min. Oh man, it was like orange roughy or red snapper from a good restaurant!

Fished Wister Thursday. It was pretty cold and windy, limited where it was comfortable to fish. Water was flowing with some trash in it. Caught about 25 or so, mostly small ones, kept 10 biggest with 3 really good ones. Fished minnows in 10 -25 FOW wherever I could find a good drop on the bottom or heavy cover for the fish to get out of the current. The shad were very difficult to find.
