Default Oklahoma CDC opinions on detailed GPS maps

I've spent time on the main electronics forum and there is lots of HB vs. Lowrance when someone asks about good detail on their unit. I'm not interested in that because I have a Lowrance Elite 7 HDI up front and that's what I will continue to have because I cannot afford purchasing new electronics frequently.

I have been spending more time in the clearer water area of Eufaula and fishing deeper. My main target is Crappie, of course - but I spend lots of time fishing for Smallmouth there also. Additionally I fish for Saugeyes on Thunderbird a little and get to Kansas for Walleye about once a year. My unit is very good for what I want but I would like a little more detail in being able to quickly pick out humps, road beds, drop offs, channels and other deep structure. I don't need 3D as I can read a 2D map just fine (courtesy of a career in Army Intel.) So, I would appreciate any opinions on detailed mapping for my Elite from you guys that have purchased what's available.

Floyd - Go on the Kansas board and ask Crappie Chatt. He is a Lowrance rep and would be my go to guy on your topic.
