    Nice job Stink,

Are those J boxes on the upper walls of the Kitchen for speakers or security?

Also, a couple of those ghost spots in the Kitchen look like Elvis!

Scott, nothing special planned for the main entry door, just a 9-light metal door. I'll trim it out really nice though.

Don, I pre-installed wiring for a stereo surround-sound system and there are two boxes in the ceiling at the appropriate settings to provide for that using a 5-speaker system.

I found a gentleman with a saw-mill that has some aged cedar on hand, so I can now plan on using cedar to build my kitchen cabinets. Takes a lot of work to mill it down, plane and edge, but the results are fantastic if you like cedar. I don't like cedar, I love cedar and really excited now that I finally found a source.

Welp, back to work for me, the tape and bed fellow should be here any moment and I want to get my receptacle boxes covered before he begins. Sure is a horrible thing trying to get that dried mud out of the screw intakes in the boxes. I've had that trick pulled on me in the past and while I have time, its easier to cover them now.

I'll take some more pictures as I have the time and get them posted. Thanks.

    Elvis who?

What a great difference that sheetrock made. Yes, I think your camera lens got a little dew on it. You are really doing great on that lake cabin and the photos are wonderful in letting us know how you are doing it. You need an album and printed out pictures for future reference. You don't need a girlfriend.....you can fish anytime you want now...

Thanks Southern Woman, I appreciate your encouraging words. All in all, this project has been enjoyable. I get a kick out of sharing the pictures because I know you folks are going to share more encouragment for me and that really helps me get things done.

12" of insulation blown into the attic this morning and that should give me close to a RF-40 for my ceiling.

Tape&bed guy will be back this afternoon for step#2 in his 5-step process of finishing the interior drywall. It should be ready for the primer/sealer coat first part of next week.

Also, I built storage area into my attic space. 3 sheets of 1/2" OSB laid end to end gives me a place to stick those items that oughta be thrown away, but we don't do that do we.

    Default Amazing!

    Stinkfinger,
You are amazing! I can't believe how fast you have gotten your cabin going. It probably seems like forever to you! We put a pellet stove in our house (with C/H/A) and now we wish we didn't have it. I love the wood stove idea. I also love the huge windows you have facing the lake. With all the trees and the slope, it will be a great looking place once it is all finished.

Only thing I didn't see was a front door. Is it going to be in the kitchen or will you do the Santa Clause thing and come through the chimney/stove pipe? :D

I can't wait to see more pictures. You will be living in it before you know it. Hang in there! I'll say it again.....you are amazing!

Thanks for telling me that Patti, I appreciate it. You too fuzzy and SW. Good to see you folks are interested and able to give me some feedback.

Drywall man should be finished Monday evening and after that I will apply a coat of primer/sealer, then paint. After I have painted, I will take some more pictures to post.

Right now I'm working under the house installing all the drain lines for my plumbing. Not much to show...... sure smells wonderful though....... like some of dat Corral #9.

Corral # 9???? Stink you bit nippin a little???...........bout time. We all may need to spring for a bottle of Don Peron when you get finished and christen the cabin. Course I'd probably drink to much and fall off the porch.
