Ledge is right its gonna be some really good fishin. I went out Saturday to see if the water was close enough to normal for the regular summer pattern to kick in. I was stoked to see the fish were there and willing to bite anything that was offered, just like the normal summer pattern we're use to. I caught 10 crappie off the first brush pile and turned them all loose to swim back into the brush and left them biting there. My first fish was 12 inches and I followed that up with half a dozen 11 inch fish. Moved to the next pile and did the same thing, caught another 12 inch fish. It wasn't tough, it picked it up on the fall and I saw the line moving sideways and set the hook. Caught another half a dozen 11 inch fish and turned em all back and moved on again. Repeated it all again on another pile with another 12 inch fish and more 11 inch fish. Turned em all back again and had my answer. The big O is back to the normal summer pattern. The trick is gonna be, who can catch the 14 to 17 inch fish to pull away from the pack. I think it's gonna take 7 fish 14 inches or better to win. Sounds like George has em all schooled up on his pile and he's due some payback now that he's back into true CC form. If he doesn't get carpal tunnel from his clicker, he's gonna spank everybody. Hope we have a good turnout. Like the guys said, it's all about making friends and good fishin buddies. Caught all those fish on Bobby Garland slab slayers in pumpkin and chartreuse. The pumpkin and pearltreuse tail is kinda dull so I dip the tail in spike it chartreuse dye. Makes the tail a lot brighter. Caught just as many drop shotting minnows. Bell sinker on bottom, hook up 18 to 30 inches on a loop knot. Can't say I'm holdin out on anybody now, y'all come fish the tourney. If you need help finding some fish holler at me or the other local guys at the morning sign in.
