Took Crappie Cooker and youngest daughter, Ginger along with son- in- law Jared out for a few hours this afternoon to dunk some minnows in 10-20fow. Only kept the first 15 good fish and released probably another 30 10-13" fish. Jared caught the best one, a shade over 15" and weighed 1.64 lbs. pretty windy day on the TM for me but I managed to school my boatload of students pretty well despite it all! A good afternoon on Oo- clicked 104 total including several hefty green carp.

No question that Ernest left a lot of good mojo in The Lund. My luck has been consistently great since I brought it home and it's hard for me to park her in the barn when I come home from the lake- seems like she deserves better! Heading out again with my son tomorrow- I've got it pretty bad right now!
C2 as far as having it pretty bad right now, you deserve it, after all that white shirt work you did!!

C2 put me right on them! We had a great day with some nice fish! We had to quit at 1. We fished brush 12-20fow. Few pieces had fish. Trust your electronics! If it says no fish, drive on! I was able to take a father and son today! This was one of those trips that they could not say thank you enough, as this would not have been possible! The father is moving out of state next week. I spent most of the day being captain and keeping everyone in drinks! That's the part I like!!![]()
Thanks Redge- I'm feeling pretty blessed right now to be catching fish in a boat stable enuf to bring the family along. Fished today with my son, Zeke (crappiefool41) and caught 126 total. We ran two clickers- one for dinks and one for fish over 10" and ran about a 2:1 ratio. We were catch and release all day today, figuring that gave us a little more time on the water- turned loose a lot of happy 12" crappie! Caught two fish that I wish I had taken the time to photograph- about an 8" black crappie, my first on Oo and an 11" snow white crappie with zero markings, also a first for me. I haven't had any luck with plastics for a month so I went old school and did all right with my Oologah Orange tho I stuck with shiners most of the day. We had to move around a lot today but every pile we hit produced fish. As soon as we dropped there would be maybe a 20-30 minute feeding frenzy followed by a dramatic slow down so we moved on and repeated the process. We had some real pole bangers today with the hardest thumps I have felt since spring. On the other hand we have never had so many hitchhikers either. I think we would have caught a lot more once the word got out that we were giving away free minnows along with a thrill ride to the surface to see the world but I don't think fish hear very well - maybe because their ears are full of water.
I may have to roll that way fri.
Thinking about hitting the big o in the am any tips or suggestions?
