I don't know what your talking about Kevin. I've never seen those Matt and wade guys catch fish :-) lol. Had the tournament been 2-3 weeks ago, I would of said 7 13-15" fish. With this cooler weather and the water stabilizing it will be a little tougher with the bigger fish for me anyhow. I'm still thinking there will be some 8+ lb stringers. Just don't think it will be me bringing them in.

I'll tell you one thing Kevin, I'm not sand bagging at all. You guys know how rare it is for me to leave the Talala Creek area. Since Talala Creek has been dead, I've been forced to check out other areas of the lake, in someone elses boat with inferior electronics. If ANYONE boats 7 14" fish, they deserve to win this shin dig as little as the average fish on Oologah is. From what I've seen, heard and experienced, I think it's going to be around a 5.8 lb total to take it.
You boyz that might be tempted to shove a few sinkers down your fishys throats may be interested in knowing there is a detection device that just might be present at the weigh in.

Fished yesterday from 7-430. Between the four of us we ended the day with 202 crappie. Ended up taking home and cleaning 76. 12-30 fow, suspended from 8-28 feet. Used minnows all day. Never could force myself to switch to jigs with live action like that! Big fish was 13.5"

The dirt is in the details- his Mom caught the bulk of the bigger fish while Zeke stayed busy untangling her line and cutting it out of the TM. Crappie Cooker was pretty focused on the thump and cranking every other fish thru the first eyelet on her rod. Sometimes she and Zekes buddy wouldn't stop cranking em in til we hollered stop, they won't fit thru that guide!

Took my youngest son and his 5 year old boy out to prefish the day before the tournament last week and actually felt like we had a chance when our biggest 7 weighed 7.6 . Best part was seeing Hudson catch crappie all by himself tho. Every once in a while his dad would turn around and holler, " set the hook Huddie!" I will post a few pictures of the day later.

Before this trip I figured that it would just be a lesson in frustration for everyone on the boat to take along a 5 year old but Huddie fished hard from 7am-3pm and despite never really learning to respond to the thump, he did catch several fish on his own. Because we couldn't find any smaller minnows early we started the day with a few huge shiners- when I came back from buying some mediums later in the morning I found my grandson being a 5 year old in the water but he as more than ready to get back after those crappies! It was catch and release all day but we did decide to weigh everything over 12" and came up with 7 @ 7.6 lbs.. And left em all there for someone else to catch on game day I guess!

Spent a few hours on Oologah yesterday afternoon. Lots of little ones but took home 28. Started out cast and drag but lost my only weedless jig. To bad because it was producing keepers better than the minnows. Didn't take long to go through 1/4lb. Brush 10 to 14 fow. Water temp 81.4. Caught fish from 5ft to the bottom. Tried to figure out if the bigger fish were holding any certain place and that didn't work.
