Was responding to CrappieHunter918's post for a somewhat wind protected area to launch.
Anyone crappie fishin?
Barometer is a bit high, however it is slowly falling. That might help the bite to wake up.
Late report. I went Friday the 21st to Spencer Creek. Fished the brush piles out in front of the park. Caught 25-30 fish only 8 keepers and they were just keepers. Biggest fish was 1 pound. Only got to fish from 8a to noon. All caught on jigs in 18-21 fow right on top of the brush.

Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
I am enjoying my 18 months in the land of coconuts, sugar cane and sun baking every day like a big old fat lizard. Gonna be tough to return in February to brrrrrr! weather so please get it over with before next year!
I fished yesterday from 3p-6p. I caught 15-20 with 7 keepers. WT was 44-46. Same pattern as last Friday, brush in 18-22 fow. I am going to get in a full day tomorrow, hope the wind doesn't get too bad. I will post a report.

Robert aka Wister Slab Daddy came up and fished with me yesterday. We fished from 0930-1630 in the areas the wind allowed. Our best depth was 16-25 in and around brush. Some piles they were down in the brush and some they were on top or outside. It was a catch and release day for us except I kept a couple to weigh in for the big fish contest at Winganon Bait. We must have caught well over 50 fish with over half of those being very nice fish. Our biggest weighed 2.11 on the official scales at Winganon. Our biggest 7 weighed around 10.5 -11 pounds. Every pile we fished had fish some had the big fish. Hope to see several of you at the tournament next Saturday, it should produce a lot of fish and SEVERAL BIG fish.
2.11 and 1.84
