First day off in three weeks. Could have gone to the house anytime since it's less than 1,000' from the ramp. Trying to catch some fish just as easy as sitting around since I didn't feel like doing much anyway.

Been fishing in creeks, not much luck. Seems there are a few native fish to the creeks are trying to make beds. Water temp still on the rise, fish should start moving soon. Hoping to get out on the water Saturday and do some spider rigging and see if I can find them.
    I fear no fish

Water temps in the shallows finally warmed up enough to hold some females. I launched around 3 this afternoon at Blue Creek. Fished stumps 3' and less, kept 15 that averaged 12-13". It's about time Oologah started producing some stinking fish!

Launched at my home stomping grounds late this afternoon in Talala Creek. I fished the same type structure as yesterday and caught two dinks (I think I caught the same fish twice). There had to be at least 30 boats launched at Vada Point and some made the trip from Sunnyside. I didn't see anyone tearing them up but the bank fishers would get one here and there. I ended the day with one Sal about two lbs and a good solid hit that caused my braided line to slip out from the eye of the hook. Curses braided line for another offset to being so strong. I was going to take a selfie with her but me phone was dead. I eased her back into the water and hope she makes it through the season unscathed. Oologah is getting real close to full blown spawn as the water temps in the flats were 68.9-71.

I've been really wanting the spawn to happen, but after seeing just a preview of the crowds, now I can't wait until it's over. My longer trips are going to be in the dark under the black light with few others on the water.

If any of you hear an A-OOH-GAH horn while fishing the Talala Creek area, holler at me and I'll tell you some lies.

As of now, I have ONE open seat for a 2:00 a.m. launch at a ramp to be determined on Sunday morning. Chime in if interested.

Crappie reaper thanks for sharing and letting us know how ur fishing day went. I plan on taking my wife and son bank fishing for some crappie but don't know exactly where there's a good spot to fish with my family. I'm probably going to use minnow mostly wit my wife and son and let them have some fun. Hopefully I'll find a spot where they are spawning and nesting. It'll probably be this Saturday when I can take them out. I'll let u guys know how we do.

Fished in Skull and the next cut south tonight. Water 65 to 68. Caught 3 good ones on roadrunners and 4 smaller keepers. Some on the bank, some about 15 feet off. No bass. Surprised me!
