Dang George you should stop too. Ole Reaper is either going to let his hat out and a notch or buy a new one now.......Ranger

If you're suggesting that I should "pass the hat", I'd be happy to. I've been trying to think of how I could pay for a new HDS-12 Touch. I mean, to raise funds for the under privileged Crappie Fishermen in the 55-56 yr old range, who might just happen to live close to Talala Creek and could really benefit from your donations.
I've already got the big head, and with a smile!![]()

Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
Hmm. Maybe he should have winterized his boat before he left it out there.
Any crappie biting on Oologah? I'm sure getting the itch to go fishing.
Ok, nobody else is gonna report on Oologah so I'll tell ya how I did last weekend. Normally after I post several guys fess up that they've been killin em, so here goes. Went out Saturday from 11 to 5 by myself again hint..., hint..., Doug, George, TC, Crappiehog, Craig you're safe you were out of town. Fished the first 3 or 4 hours single pole jiggin brushpiles in 30 too 35 fow. Caught 3 or 4 dinks and a light came on in my head, it might have been dim, but it was a light. The light said haven't you learned this lesson 50 million times before, try something different. So i backed off the 2 piles that were close together and casted over them with a 1/4oz jig with a pumpkin and chartreuse slabslayer. I let the 1/4oz jig go all the way to the bottom, then I'd pop it up and reel as slow as i could through the brushpiles dragging it over the limbs. Guess what, I caught a fish on the first cast, and again on the third cast, and so on, and so on. It sure seemed odd casting and draggin in 30 to 35 ft, but I guess the crappie just wanted the bait to be moving. Ended up with 12 keepers in the last few hours of the day. My youngest 21 year old son Hunter came over that night and saw the fish in the ice chest and I had me a buddy to fish with on Sunday. Took him out and first threatened him with his life if he broke one of my Huckabee 8fters. Took him back to the same spot and told him how to do it and he was smiling like a possum as he caught 8 more to add to the ice chest. He said dad, I know what you're doin, you're not throwing to the piles so I can catch all the fish. I told him yep that's what dads do. Of course it was super bowl evening and he had made plans with his buddies so we only fished a little over 2 and a half hours before he let me know he was supposed to go get something to eat with his buddies and needed to head home. Not a great weekend of fishin, but the company was good and the 20 we caught over the weekend were enough for 2 dinners.
Congrats Whisperer and if you ever have that no one to go with you problem again give me a shout.

Sounds good Dino, we'll go catch some soon.
Fished hard ALL day. I fished everything from spencer creek to double creek! 8 fish! Not a keeper!
