I would love to give them a hand fixing that sounds fun
No, that is why I would give free labor for a day. My service work in southern ok is killing me on time
Was not my spring to learn oologah water to high decided to go ahead and spend gas and time on eufala -------- lot of egg sacks in all stages catching some fish in shallows depending on the day --- maybe I can get some summer fishing in at oologah after water levels out
Oologah isn't a hydroelectric dam. They have proposed putting one there for years but right now it's just a flood control dam. I would like to see the inside of one as well. I was surprised to find out that there aren't turbins and such there.
Made it out today for a few with the two oldest boys until that early afternoon storm blew us off the lake. We tried the north side of winganon bridge for a few and did not get ahold of anything. It was a good test for the 20cc boat when the storms came in and it did ok. There was some pretty good waves rolling in and the boys where having fun. With the water up and down I am not sure where they.
well wish i had the faith---- the Lord said a little faith can move mountains ---- heading back to eufala tomorrow instead of oologah to get a mess of fish --- that leaves more for you good old boys on oologah the ones i dont catch will be bigger next year or in your skillet either way its good ---- RBC
Had to go Sunday, just couldn't stay off the lake for the whole weekend, storms or not. Tried Talalla creek because of the wind. Caught one 12" male in the first 5 minutes and then the wind went crazy as a storm moved in. Headed back to the ramp when the thunder set in. Trailered the boat to sit it out for a while. Waited for the storms to pass and put back in, but couldn't get one to bite. Thunder must have put em in a bad mood. I did get a chance to meet Jig61 out on the water. It's always good to meet another member, maybe next time we meet we'll be catchin fish. Maybe when the Caney goes down they'll open the gates at the dam again. I think today there was 7000 or 9000 coming in the lake and 2000 going out the spillway. That means the lake is on the rise again, dang it.
I let that Male you gave me go. Was not nat able to get any company for him later that night. Only two bites on minnows. nothing on jigs.
Nice to meet you on the lake too bosshog. I guess fishin was tough for everybody Sunday. Sure has been pretty weather this week. I know the crappie gotta start biting soon. Lots of nice guys and good fisherman on here. Stop by and say hi if you see me on the lake again, I'll do the same.
