Just got home from Talala.... Fishing was TOUGH!!!! Marked a lot of fish and they were scattered out, from 7' - 15' deep. Could not buy a bite today.... There were several boats when I got there and only one when I left, so I guess I wasn't the only one having a hard time..... Met Reaper out there today for the first time... He was the only boat there when I left.... One of those "should been here the other day" days.... oh well.... Maybe next time...

That one 11" straggler was the only bite/fish for the day. Next trip, I'm headed up the creek. Nice talking to you Jonboat!

So Reaper was the bite "off" for you today? Just kidding,:D:D I had to throw that in.

I met Eufaula Boy and GrandKid at the ramp today after church. It was after 230, when we started fishing. We marked a brushpile in 10-12 fow with fish around it. We caught several and just kept moving from brushpile to brushpile. All piles were in 8-12 fow. We fished about 8 brushpiles until 630. We caught fish on every pile but some had bigger fish than others. The fish were suspended above the brush 4-8 feet down. Our best color was blue/white, but we did catch several on blk/pink, cajun cricket, and electric chicken. We caught over 125 fish and kept 73. No really big fish, we had 8 that were over 12 inches and the rest were 9 1/2 to 11 1/2 inches. Not a bad day considering the late start and the wind was brutal.

I knew they were biting SOMEWHERE. I even told Jonboat the same thing. Talala creek area is very muddy from the rain. I refuse to take my lil boat out onto the main lake when the winds are blowing.

LOL, Craig. I figured you would say we proved your point. They were biting SOMEWHERE. I have to give you credit.

You guy's had a field day, Odie comes through again. Brian will always get his share I talked to him on the way back last night, And we both agree the month of March seems to always be better in the afternoon periods.

Reaper get up in the creek. I've slide out a few times since the warmer temps, and have been catching some nice fish (10-12") in one of my spawn areas. They're not on the bank, but I've been catching them 2-3 ft deep in 5 ft of water. I've done this two weeks in a row. I'll get back on the lake this week to see what awaits me, but it's hard to leave a spot where you are having success.
    Was that a bite?

Yep... Reaper said it on the water..."their bitin somewhere". Wished I woulda been "somewhere". I am in somewhat of a slump the last couple of weeks... I just about pulled poles up and headed across to spencer to give a try, but didnt wqnt to get beat to death on main lake...
